Hello, I'm new here, seems a very nice forum and a great contest, I hope to have fun with you!
A quick question for the admins, are the Best Game Starring Dr Dobbs And The Defy All Challenges Crew and the Best Total Conversion categories in contrast each others or making a total conversion (no use of original graphics nor sound)with re-drawn Dr Dobbs caracters eligible for almost one of the categories?

In other words, featuring a DrDobbs character make your game not in run for the total conversion prize?
I want to use Dr Dobbs in my total conversion but not as main playable character
Also, i need to use all the Defy All Challenges characters to have my game in run also for the "Best game starring..." category?

Yes, the Best Game Starring Dr Dobbs And The Defy All Challenges Crew and the Best Total Conversion categories are in contrast to each other.

Entrants will be eligible for one or the other -- and which will be up to the judges, so don't worry about it! We suggest you concentrate on trying to win the best game category by making the game YOU want to make.

I will for sure i was tempted to have a Dr Dobbs cameo or having him as guide for the player, like transmitting on a monitor somewere or inside a dialogbox, but now i'll use original characters because i'm aiming at a total conversion game.
